ReSharper Ultimate 2019.1.3 bug-fix update is released!

Say hello to the new ReSharper Ultimate release!

ReSharper Ultimate 2019.1.3 brings:

  • Initial support for the “Per-Monitor DPI Awareness” mode in Visual Studio 2019. If you disabled Optimize rendering for screens with different pixel densities via Tools | Options | Environment | General, because of the rendering issue we had with the ReSharper tool windows, please enable it again and check out how it now looks.
  • A couple of performance optimizations in code completion, typing, and changing C++ project references.
  • A fix for the Visual Studio hangs happening on opening solutions containing SSIS projects.
  • The size of the ReSharper log file is limited to prevent lots of disk space being taken up by it.

In case you want to see all the requests for this release, please visit our issue tracker page.

To install ReSharper Ultimate 2019.1.3, download the build from or run ReSharper | Help | Check for Updates from MS Visual Studio.

FYI: 2019.1.3 breaks keyboard navigation (CTRL+arrow) in at least in “Move to Resource” Dialog. Instead of jumping to next underscore, the whole Name is marked. Back to 2019.1.2 fixed it.

Could you please provide some more details about the problem. Is the issue reproduced only in “Move to Resource” window, is it only Name field? Some screenshot/screencast demonstrating the problem will be highly appreciated. You can share it with us using our “Submit a request” form –
      Thanks in advance.

Request sent. I also added a screencast. The behavior only appears in the ‘Name’ field. And only in this dialog.

FWIW a bug was introduced in 2019.1.1 that did not occur in 2018.3.x:

I encounter this often. Would be nice to get that in the next set of bug fixes.

Nice to see initial support for Per-Monitor DPi Awareness (PMA). Maybe drop the compatibility warning pop-up then? Most people that get the pop-up will most likely choose to disable PMA.

I updated to 2019.1.3 and still got the DPI PMA prompt – is that intentional?

Re-requesting that these blog posts get their own ‘releases’ category like the TeamCity blog has 🙂

    “JetBrains ReSharper Ultimate 2019.1.3
    Adds 2045milliseconds on average”
I get this message popping up in VS2019 even when disabled at the bottom right of the screen, I have a i7 x64 32gb ram. When R# is totally disabled VS is really responsive but I miss all the intelligence that R# brings. Just as VS will tell me which plugins are slowing down my UX. it would be nice if R# had that to, and that have saved profiles so I could switch between different performance profiles, such as lean&mean or slow&meticulous.
